Pura Ferreiro

Pura Ferreiro, a Munich goldsmith, is known for her fascination with granulation. For a long time, this traditional discipline in the art of goldsmithing was considered forgotten. Pura has been dealing with granulation in terms of design and craftsmanship since 1990. In addition, in 2018 she wrote her master's thesis in art history on the artistic interpretation of granulation in contemporary jewelry art. 

Pura designs highly abstract pieces of jewelry inspired by seed pods and flower buds and abstracts the floral templates in metal. The use of modern electroplating technology result in voluminous yet light earrings and pendants in silver and gold.
